SURVEY/DESIGN/BUILD WORKSHOP:
San Miguel and Perquin, El Salvador, 2008
A two-phase workshop: First a survey of a legacy 'site and services' project of the mid-1970s to assess the self-build housing efforts of families over a 30-year period. In the second phase a sunshade structure for a pre-natal clinic in the rural village of Perquin was designed and built by a student team from MIT.
